Where We Stand

Baltimore Center Stage is pleased to offer our production of Where We Stand by Donnetta Lavinia Grays and accompanying curriculum for free to all 7-12 educators who may find it useful.

The play is a modern-day fable about a mysterious stranger who appears before a man with a tempting offer. Where We Stand is a one-person play that asks the question what does a community owe to the individual and what does the individual owe to their community?

To all teachers who opt-in and make the play part of their instructional materials, we will offer a link to a video recording of the play, a link to an audio recording of the play, and supplemental materials to adapt to your students' needs.

A note on content: This play contains the mention of the consumption of alcoholic beverages and the use of the word "damn".

Recordings of Where We Stand are being made available in partnership with the employees represented by Actors Equity Association, Stage Directors & Choreographers Society and United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829, IATSE for use exclusively for in-class K-12 instruction. All other uses are prohibited.
